Arthur Smith

Arthur Smith has been a fixture of British alternative comedy since the late 1970s, a former resident compere of the Comedy Store and an Edinburgh Fringe regular for close to fifty years running. He's hosted his own variety show, Arthur Smith's Balham Bash, compered the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year final for years, and written the Olivier-nominated play An Evening With Gary Lineker. Decades on stage have given him an effortless command of a room, dry wit intact throughout. One of British comedy's most respected voices, and still touring.
