Took the stage on a dare and won the Comedy Store's King Gong title — now a headliner at the Store itself.

Gerry Kyei, known on the circuit as Gerry K, came to comedy almost by accident — taking the stage on a dare while growing up as one of very few black faces in a small rural Essex community. Within a few years he'd picked up the Comedy Store's King Gong title, the Metrolife Comedy Newcomer award and the Comedy Cafe's Best Newcomer prize, and has since headlined The Comedy Store, Jongleurs and Komedia. He's also acted in The Bill and Angelo's, and released a stand-up special through Amazon's NextUp platform. Honest, anecdotal storytelling that lands as easily in a club as it does on screen.
