Ricky Balshaw
Ricky Balshaw is a stand-up comedian whose quick, self-aware comedy draws on a life that has already taken him from elite sport to stages across the UK. A Paralympic dressage silver medallist, he brings a distinctive perspective to stories about disability, competition and the strange things people say when they think they are being helpful. Balshaw won silver in dressage at the Beijing Paralympic Games before turning to comedy. He is a BBC New Comedy Award finalist, has appeared on BBC One and BBC Three, and has worked as a Channel 4 Paralympics pundit alongside regular live dates around the country.
