Rudi Lickwood has been making UK audiences laugh since 1989, when he started out doing an Eddie Murphy impersonation before developing his own distinctive voice as one of the circuit's sharpest one-liner merchants. He was one of the first black comedians to appear on BBC's The Stand-Up Show, has since appeared on The Real McCoy, Get Me the Producer and Show Me the Funny, and won the Jongleurs Award for Best Performer in 2000/2001. He's played major festival stages at Glastonbury and Reading, and performed for troops with the Combined Services Entertainment in Afghanistan, Bosnia and the Falklands. Quick, punchy material with a big, warm stage presence.
