Silky

Runs his own chain of comedy clubs, Kill For A Seat — and The Guardian calls him "massively engaging."

Silky, real name Paul White, is a Liverpool guitar-playing storyteller and compere who's been working the circuit since 1994, blending one-liners, off-the-cuff banter and songs into a set that moves easily between clubs, theatres and outdoor stages. He's toured China, the Gulf, Singapore and Australia, appeared at Glastonbury and the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and runs his own respected chain of clubs, Kill For A Seat, alongside regular compering at Liverpool's Hot Water Comedy Club. The Guardian has called him "massively engaging," with praise from fellow comedians John Bishop and Tim Minchin. Easy rapport, genuine improvisation, and thirty years of knowing exactly how to work a room.
