Terry Alderton

Terry Alderton

A former goalkeeper for Southend United, now known for sound effects most comedians wouldn't dare attempt.

Terry Alderton built his act on physical comedy, quickfire impressions and eerily accurate sound effects that most performers wouldn't dare attempt on stage, a fearless, split-second timing that carried straight over from his early years as a goalkeeper for Southend United. His stand-up was nominated for the Perrier Comedy Award in 1999, and he went on to host BBC One's National Lottery show alongside Lulu and take acting roles in London's Burning and EastEnders. He's since returned to stand-up, touring the Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne, Montreal's Just For Laughs and comedy festivals across New Zealand and Ireland. Relentless pace, and audiences genuinely never know what he'll do next.
